Honda issues recall that impacts 900,000, 2011 to 2017 Honda Odyssey Minivans after 46 reports of injuries

Honda has issued the recall of the Honda Odyssey Minivans models from 2011 to 2017, after 46 reports of injuries related to a problem that causes the second-row seats to fall forward. The recall will effect 900,000 Honda Odyssey Minivans, of which about 800,000 were sold in the United States.   2013 Honda Odyssey LX According to a statement released by Honda if the seat latch is not properly latched after adjusting or removing the second-row seats, “the seat may tip forward during moderate to heavy braking, increasing the injury to an occupant. This issue will not occur if a seat is properly latched.” Honda has provided owners of the effected 2011 to 2017 models of the Honda Odyssey Minivan with instructions on what to do ensure that the seats are properly secured. The company is also recommending that Odyssey owners take their vans to Honda dealerships immediately, where service technicians will be able to fix the issue for free.
