New York Times reports that court documents revealed that Monsanto, the makers of Roundup© and similar weed killing products containing the chemical Glyphosate, had used internally created scientific documents, which they later presented as an impartial review, to down-play of the possible side-effects of Glyphosate exposure. The same court documents also indicated that a senior official with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) may have worked to prevent an in-depth review of Roundup© and other Glyphosate based products. This news comes after court records from litigation related to individuals who claim they developed non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma after coming into contact with Glyphosate based products were unsealed.
